Piano Lessons –

Private individualized lesson format typically includes development of technical skills, discussion of music theory or history as it relates to current assignments, review work, learning and perfecting pieces and new assignments.  There are usually specific directions written in the student’s notebook with goals discussed and strategies to achieve them. Students are praised for their efforts and receive encouragement—enjoying lessons is important! To this end a wide body of music serves to enhance this enjoyment of music; perhaps a Disney or show tune, a sacred or patriotic piece, and jazz in addition to classical and contemporary piano music. With advancing students there can be a focus on training to play from lead sheets for stage or praise band.

Organ Lessons –

Kim can train you to shift from piano to organ and guide you in selection of appropriate and easily approached liturgical literature, arranging, lead sheets and shortcuts, so that you will be able to play for church services. Recommended session is two hours as needed. ($125)

Vocal Coaching / Voice Lessons –

Some children are also interested in developing their singing voice. Ms. Capsas has extensive experience coaching at the collegiate level as well as helping younger students begin singing. Lessons focus on vocal exercises, sightsinging and song literature, as well as developing basic piano skills to aid vocal study.

Instrumental and Vocal Accompanying –

Skilled at sightreading (State Champion!) and performing with students for competitions and recitals, please contact for individualized quote.

Weddings –

It is my pleasure to provide you with beautiful organ and piano music for your special day! The fee includes the wedding ceremony and up to 30 minutes of pre-service music, a personalized session to choose appropriate music, and one hour rehearsal with a soloist. Typical fee is $300.

I am acquainted with many musicians in the area, if you would like to make your day extra special I am happy to help you locate a qualified singer, flute, trumpet or string player. Their charges will vary. ($150-$300)

Funerals / Memorials –

I am experienced at providing exceptional inspirational music to enhance the celebration of life of your loved one. I can play the piano or organ provided at your location. Typical cost is $250.00, including music consultation by phone, with an additional rehearsal fee if a separate rehearsal time is necessary for a soloist.
